Quarks Sharing: Transgender Lives in Hong Kong

Identifying as either male or female based on our assigned sex is deeply ingrained in our society, from our given names at birth to our expected traits and behaviours. But for some people, their gender assigned at birth does not align with their gender identity—so how do they navigate and experience life in this largely gender-binary society?

Quarks (跨青時刻), an organisation supporting and connecting transgender youth in Hong Kong, will be sharing their stories with Equal Opportunity Student Ambassadors. By listening to their experiences, challenges, and more, EOSAs will be able to deepen their understanding of what it means to be transgender and gain insight into what steps can be taken to create a more inclusive society. In this face-to-face event, interactions between our speakers and participants are highly encouraged, so join us if you’re interested in learning more about transgender lives in Hong Kong, directly from those who know the best!
