Technical expert of Barrier-Free Access (HK) Limited will explain the different web accessibility needs of people with different kinds of disability, such as visual, hearing, and physical disabilities. If a website is inaccessible to persons with a disability, it may be a kind of disability discrimination under the Disability Discrimination Ordinance.

The speaker will also share the typical findings from the web accessibility audits that they conduct for different organisations, including HKU, and some tips to improve web accessibility when you develop your website.

All colleagues and students are welcome to join this sharing session. Not only webmasters but also colleagues and students responsible for developing online content for education/promotion are encouraged to attend this session.
