Brief Description:
This picture shows a portrait of two sisters hugging each other in Victoria Park in December 2021. Although they are both domestic workers born and raised in the same place and cultural environment, they like to express their personalities in different ways, such as with their clothes and styles. In the background on the right, a group of Indonesian workers pray in a circle with drums and sing the Koran. Behind them, a local family with three children stands deciding where to spend their Sunday. In the background on the left, a worker walks to reach the group of workers praying on the ground. This picture expresses the identity dilemma of Indonesian domestic workers and the way they enrich the multicultural environment of Hong Kong.
