Theme: Inclusion and Diversity

Brief Description:
The photo conveys a duality of inclusion of diversity, and it was taken near the university where the people first met each other. First, five girls from Italy, America, U.K., India, and China reconnect with each other by spending their afternoon on the meadow - this is much deeper than merely academic discussions in university. Moreover, if we would abandon anthropocentrism, nature could have been seen as inclusive and diversified, by counting human beings as a crucial entity. Only when we no longer classified people as non-locals and locals, and no longer classified Homo sapiens as the controlling agency, can we truly achieve inclusion and diversity. This is at least somehow instructive for Hong Kong society, and how HKU got the laurel for being most international.
