Disability Discrimination Ordinance – Support for Students with Disabilities
The Disability Discrimination Ordinance (DDO) of Hong Kong seeks to ensure that persons with disabilities have equal opportunity in access to education. It is important for both teachers and administrative colleagues involved in any student-related matters to understand what may constitute an unlawful act under the DDO and how to support students with special educational needs (SEN). In this online training session, Mr Clifford Lo, Senior Training Officer of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), will explain the key concepts, unlawful acts, and reasonable accommodation requirements under the DDO.
