EOF 2017 - Sharing Session by the Rariwi Water & Sanitation Initiative

Volunteers from HKU who took part in the Maklweta Kenyan Service Learning Trip will be sharing with you what they have experienced in Homa Bay, Kenya during their visit from 1-15 July 2017. The programme aims to provide support to enhance opportunities of education and cultural exchanges for female students in the rural village of Kenya. A team of HKU students took the trip to a rural village in Kenya this summer with the aim to improve the quality of lives of the local people by facilitating the supply of clean drinking and utility water. In return, volunteers had the opportunity to experience Kenyan village life as they worked closely with secondary school students and stayed in the houses of the villagers. The trip was supported by the Equal Opportunity Unit and CEDARS Incubation Service.
