Guide Dog Experience Day

People with visual impairment may face some daily challenges. Since 2011, Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association (HKGDA) has been aiming to assist the visually impaired people by providing internationally accredited service dogs, including guide dogs and Animal-Assisted Intervention (AAI) dogs.

In this 90-minute session, participants will explore the world of guide dogs including their special training and daily duties. Hear inspiring stories from visually impaired individuals about their experiences with guide dogs and learn how to interact respectfully with both the dogs and their handlers. Watch a live demonstration by a guide dog trainer showing essential training techniques. Don’t miss this chance to meet and greet the guide dogs! The event is free for HKU students and staff.
