Sand Painting Workshop by Artist with Disability

This Sand Painting Workshop led by our artist with a disability - Jessica Chiu, participants are guided through a hands-on and creative exploration of the art of creating designs using colored sand. Participants can explore the unique art form of creating images and designs using colored sand. During the workshop, participants typically learn about the techniques of sand painting, including how to layer different colored sands to form intricate patterns and pictures.

This Sand Painting Workshop can also be a meditative and relaxing experience, as participants focus on the process of arranging the sand to create their visual compositions. It can be a therapeutic and immersive activity that promotes mindfulness and artistic expression.

About the Artist

Jessica Chiu’s passion for painting, which was sparked in her childhood, has blossomed into a career as a fulltime artist and sand painter. Since she ventured into sand painting in 2010, she has captivated audiences and garnered invitations from numerous companies and institutions to create enchanting sand painting videos and performances. Chiu is committed to diversifying her art, showcasing an eclectic painting style that captures the essence of her explorations of life and the world.
