It is common to see “on-duty” guide dogs or at least Guide Dog Welcome Stickers around the city. How much do you know about guide dogs and their services? Do you know how guide dogs are trained before providing services for visually impaired persons?

On March 2, we were delighted to have the Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association (HKGDA) with us at HKU to learn more about guide dogs and the daily lives of visually impaired persons. Established in 2011, the HKGDA is professional in supporting visually impaired persons and training guide dogs. During our guide dog user guests’ sharing and interactive Q&A session, EOSAs and HKU members learnt about the journey of a guide dog as well as some other fun facts. Such a rewarding experience for us all indeed!
