By Dr. Peier Chen, Founder and Director, WeUs Social Enterprise
This movie screening and interactive workshop aims to foster a gender-inclusive HKU community by enhancing menstrual awareness, dismantling period stigmas, and reclaiming bodily autonomy through hands-on period pad exploration and screening. Participants will gain foundational knowledge of menstruation across biological, socio-cultural, and gender dimensions; uncover the anatomy of everyday sanitary pads to make informed product choices that best suit individual bodies; and engage in discussions regarding bodily autonomy, period poverty, and period equity.
We warmly invite you to bring a few of your regular sanitary pads, along with their packaging. This will help you explore and find what truly fits your unique body and personal needs.
