This workshop invites Ms Jennifer Sin, a representative from Zoom, to introduce how Zoom’s built-in accessibility, assistive technology, and AI-powered features can support more inclusive teaching, learning, and communication for students with special educational needs (SEN). A range of practical Zoom functions will be demonstrated live including automated captions, translated captions, transcription, spotlighting and enabling sign language interpreters for users requiring visual or language accessibility support.
The workshop will also cover the latest Zoom’s AI features such as AI automatic meeting summary, and recording with AI chapterizing function, which can help students and staff review meeting or lesson content more efficiently. This is a new workshop open to all staff and students and will be particularly useful for instructors, SEN support staff and coordinators from faculties, schools and departments.
