Join us for a special experience with guide dogs – it would be pawsitively inspiring!

The event will take place at the Former Lau Fau Shan Police Station - Hong Kong Guide Dogs Academy (HKGDA) - an unmissable opportunity to explore the fascinating journey of a guide dog. During the experience, you will be guided to learn more about how dogs become guide dogs and secrets of the life-changing dogs. You will also understand better the important work of the Hong Kong Guide Dogs Academy – which enables people who are visually impaired to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Please note that free shuttle bus service will be available for registered participants from HKU to the HKGDA and from the HKGDA to the Tin Shui Wai MTR Station/ Mei Foo MTR Station after the event.

The event is a 2.5-hour immersive journey, covering:

  • In-depth information session
  • Guide dog demonstration
  • Little Q Canine assisted interactions
  • Experience in the dark activity

Guide Dog Life Education Seminar|Go behind the scenes to learn about the rigorous training of guide dogs and their unbreakable bond with visually impaired partners.

Experience in the Dark|Step out of your visual comfort zone to temporarily experience daily challenges, rebuilding trust and empathy through your other senses.

Healing Moments with Therapy Dogs|Conclude the journey by interacting with our gentle, certified therapy dogs for genuine comfort and emotional support.

Former Lau Fau Shan Police Station|Walk through this Grade 3 historic building and explore its colonial architecture, storied past, and meaningful revitalization.

The Oysters of Lau Fau Shan Seminar|Discover Deep Bay's unique coastal ecosystem and the 700-year-old traditional oyster cultivation listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
