The Breastfeeding Friendly Community Initiative (BFCI) is a 3-year campaign organized by the HKU School of Nursing, with funding support from the Food and Health Bureau of the HKSAR Government. The BFCI aims to promulgate breastfeeding friendly attitudes and to develop a #breastfeeding GPS app for locating breastfeeding facilities in order to help mothers sustain breastfeeding and nurture a breastfeeding-friendly community.
In order to increase awareness among students and colleagues, Dr Kris Lok of the School of Nursing, will discuss the latest research, focusing on promoting a supportive environment and best practices for creating a breastfeeding-friendly environment for staff and students.
