This is a 3-hour introductory workshop to provide an overview of the field of audio description. Attendees will learn about the current state of audio description practices in Hong Kong, as well as the common requirements and qualifications for audio describers. The session will feature a demonstration of audio description in action, giving participants a firsthand look at this accessibility service in practice. This workshop is designed to familiarise attendees with the fundamentals of audio description and its role in making information accessible to those with visual impairments. It serves as an entry point for those interested in exploring this growing area of inclusive design.
